Following the successful inaugural session in December 2025, Seniora Malaysia continued its commitment to advancing patient support services with the second Certificate in Medical Concierge for Outpatient Visit, held on 7–8 March 2026.
This second run not only reaffirmed the relevance of medical concierge services in Malaysia but also demonstrated the growing interest in structured, professional training within this emerging field.

Responding to a Growing Need
As outpatient care becomes more complex—particularly for elderly patients and those with chronic conditions—the need for trained professionals who can navigate both healthcare systems and human needs is increasingly evident.
The March workshop welcomed a new cohort of participants, including:
Healthcare professionals seeking to enhance patient engagement
Caregivers aiming to upskill and formalize their experience
Service providers exploring opportunities in the healthcare support sector
This diversity reflects a broader shift: patient experience is no longer an “added value,” but a core component of quality care.

Deepening Skills, Strengthening Confidence
Building on the foundation of the December session, this workshop further refined its training approach with more structured case studies and practical simulations.
Participants were guided through:
End-to-end outpatient journey coordination
Anticipating and managing patient anxieties
Effective communication with healthcare teams and family members
Ethical considerations and professional boundaries
Delivering personalized, dignified support for elderly patients
The emphasis remained clear—technical knowledge must be matched with empathy, awareness, and adaptability.

From Training to Transformation
One of the key outcomes observed was the transformation in participants’ mindset. By the end of the two days, many demonstrated a stronger sense of ownership in their role—not just as assistants, but as advocates for the patient experience.
This shift is critical in shaping a more compassionate and efficient healthcare ecosystem, where patients feel supported beyond clinical treatment.

Strengthening the Ecosystem
The continued success of this certification program signals a positive trajectory for the development of medical concierge services in Malaysia.
Through initiatives like this, Seniora Malaysia is:
Creating a pipeline of trained medical concierge professionals
Supporting healthcare providers in delivering holistic care
Enhancing trust and confidence among patients and families
Contributing to the long-term sustainability of community-based care
